1 Killed In Collision Between Postal Truck, SUV

(STMW) -- One person was killed when U.S. Postal Service truck collided with an SUV early Saturday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The crash happened about 3:20 a.m. in the 3800 block of West Congress, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

A passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Both drivers were taken to Stroger Hospital, but police did not immediately have more details.

The Cook County medical examiner's office was not immediately able to confirm the death. CPD's Major Accident Investigation Unit is handling the case.
