Boston Christmas Festival

It's Christmas this weekend at the Seaport World Trade Center. The 30th Annual Boston Christmas Festival moves in from Friday through Sunday. You'll find the work of more than 300 American craftsmen, offering fashions, jewelry, home goods, handcrafted holiday décor and more. Make sure to check out the Gingerbread House Competition. Boston International Kids Film Festival
November 3-6

This annual festival of films made for kids and by kids returns this Thursday through Sunday. You can watch full length feature films, film shorts, meet directors and attend hands-on workshops for the next generation of filmmakers. The festival is back for its fourth year, with events in both Arlington and Somerville. The showings are divided by appropriate ages, and while most require tickets, some are free. Girls Day at MIT Museum
November 5

Twice each year there is a special day dedicated to girls. It's a celebration of women in science, technology, engineering and math. This weekend's theme is The Secret Life of Robots, complete with hands on activities.
