One of the drivers was taken to the hospital, while the other driver was not hurt. The driver that wasn't taken to the hospital told WBZ-TV that she had a green light and was driving down South Street when she was t-boned by the other car.

"I had my foot on the brake, trying to stop my car, and the car just pushed right through the windshield of that bookstore; it was pretty frightening," said the driver, who did not want to be identified.

The accident took place around 11 a.m.

"I heard a tremendous crash, so I walked up the street, and it was two cars way into the building," resident Pat Daley said.

The bookstore was supposed to open at noon, so nobody was inside when the crash happened. After the crash, there was shattered glass and a bunch of books were scattered across the sidewalk.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

"It's such a busy corner; people walk by it every day and to see glass everywhere, damaged property - obviously it was a crazy accident," resident Jake Karol said.
