"It feels good," Patriots celebrate victory while raising money for charity
BOSTON - Despite the New England Patriots' mentality, "it's onto the next game," some players could not hide their joy over ending a losing a streak with an exciting victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Many players were in a good mood as they attended the annual Strikes for Tykes bowling charity event at Kings in the Seaport to raise money for the pediatric department at Boston Medical Center.
This year, the event was hosted by Patriots Center, David Andrews.
"Let me tell you. I've been to a lot of events in my career and they're always a lot better after a win," Andrews joked with the crowd.
Andrews helped make the announcement that BMC received a $3 million grant from the MassMutual Foundation to launch an Economic Justice Hub to support the economic health of families in BMC's Department of Pediatrics.
Amid the celebratory atmosphere, Andrews and other players said their focus is now on the next game against the Miami Dolphins.
"It feels good. It feels good but its one of those things where you don't want to get too comfortable but. Like, we just gotta keep coming back and working just like we did last week and keep that ball rolling," Patriots Guard Cole Strange said.
"Win or lose you gotta move on and get ready to go," Andrews said.
