There are many options out there when it comes to choosing a gym. But a new gym on Nantucket in particular has a lot of people talking.
All you need to do to join is pay an initiation fee of $120,000 and pay $5,000 annually.
Last week, the Planning Board approved construction of Ezia Athletic Club.
The Ezia Athletic Club will include an 11,000-square-foot indoor facility with exercise areas, squash courts, spa and therapy rooms and a small snack bar; with a pool, spa pool, volleyball court and small putting green, according to founder Isaiah Truyman.
Membership will be limited to 250 families.
But it appears not everyone is happy about the gym.
People have been sounding off on the local newspaper's Facebook page.
"It's clearly not meant for a vast majority of islanders."
"How 'bout a health club the locals can afford to join!"
"Catering to the rich and famous."
Ezia Athletic Club is set to open in 2017.
