Police Catch Bridgewater Man Watching Porn In Public Library

BRIDGEWATER (CBS) -- A Bridgewater man was arrested at the town's library after police caught him committing a lewd act while apparently watching pornography on a computer.

Police responded to reports of someone watching pornography on the library computer. When they arrived, they allegedly found the man, identified as 43-year-old Fred Higgins, sitting at the computer committing a lewd act. Police say a 14-year-old was sitting next to him at the time.

More than a dozen people were in the area of the library at the time, a majority of whom were young teenage children, police said.

Higgins is facing multiple charges including Disorderly Conduct and Lewd and Lascivious Conduct.
