Museum Of Science, Boston
1 Science Park
Boston, MA 02114
The Museum of Science in Boston is an amazing place to have a date. Do not forget to add tickets to see an IMAX show in the museum's theater as well. This will make the date very memorable. Just after walking past the ticket kiosks, a huge window to the right looks out upon the river and city. Go up the stairs to get a better view and then to the right to see the bulk of the museum's exhibits. Arguably the best one for a date is the Electricity Room. Stick around for the lightning show as sparks fly to get a literally hair-raising experience out of the date.

Larz Anderson Auto Museum
15 Newton St.
Brookline, MA 02445
Billed as "America's Oldest Car Museum," the Larz Anderson collection has some impressive vehicles that can make even a boring date interesting. The core collection is housed in a gorgeous 19th century carriage house built by Larz Anderson and his wife. Other exhibits also come through, which are sometimes displayed on the surrounding acreage of Larz Anderson Park. For those who are afraid their dates might not be into a noisy display of amateur racing cars, do not worry. The newest car in the collection is a 1959 Rolls Royce Shooting Brake. These cars will evoke Rose and Jack in the "Titanic," not the cookie cutter loser in some modern car films.
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Boston, MA 02115
Topped only perhaps by the sprawling Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is the most romantic building in Boston for art lovers. The building was the fine home of the woman for whom it was named, an avid art collector. From the outside, it is the epitome of romance with lovely gardens and sweet details in every staircase and column. On the inside, the building itself provides just as much to appreciate, but it is accompanied by the well-selected art collection of Mrs. Gardner. Contemporary exhibits also come through regularly.

Sometimes, the best thing for a date is a venue with a lot of talking points and the MIT Museum delivers on that front. With exhibits ranging from kinetic art to robotics, even those less interested in science can get a kick out of what the school is doing. There is also the "Sampling MIT" aspect of the museum, which takes visitors inside of the research being conducted by the school. It is hard not to be excited when the future often starts in a room on this campus.
