BOSTON (CBS) – Amtrak temporarily suspended service between Boston and New York City because of overhead wire problems in Connecticut.

A tree fell onto the wires and nearby tracks near Guilford, Connecticut around 8 a.m., knocking out power.

Amtrak says service was restored on one of the affected tracks before 1 p.m. Full service was expected to be available later in the afternoon.

If the incident has forced you to change your travel plans, you can get refund information at Amtrak.com.
