McCain Talks About His Veep Search
(BAKERSFIELD, CALIF.) – It's a question that comes up at almost all of the events John McCain does now: who's going to be your vice-president?
Today's question came all the way from Bermuda, where McCain appeared via webcast to address donors.
"Just between you and me," McCain said laughingly when asked about his running mate today. He refused to name any names, but he did say the search is still ongoing.
"We're going through the process, there's a lot of highly qualified people in our party," he said. "Governors, senators, businesspeople...you need someone who shares your values and priorities." McCain added that the cardinal rule for picking a VP is the same one followed by physicians: first, do no harm.
