World Series Preview

It's finally here and who would have thought at the beginning of the season that the Texas Rangers and the San Francisco Giants would be battling for the championship.  A quick look back at the LCS first.  Texas dominated the Yankees in the ALCS.  I know the Yankees forced it to 6 games but look at the stats.  The Rangers outscored New York 38-19 and if you take away the game 1 comeback, the Yanks didn't offer much.  Maybe the most amazing thing is that Cliff Lee only pitched 1 game in the LCS, it was still great with 13 strikeouts, the point is Lee pitched once and they still won easily.  As for the Giants they won games the same way they have won games all season.  Low scoring, well pitched and great defense.  Three of the 4 wins San Fran won by 1 run.  The country was introduced to Cody Ross who had a huge LCS with clutch hit after clutch hit and the Phillies offense just couldn't get on track.  Now on to the world series.  Both teams have had magical runs to this point.  The Giants were the team that didn't have enough offense to get it done.  While the Rangers had the "never won a playoff series" hanging over their heads.  In my opinion the Rangers can hurt you in so many ways, whether it be power or small ball.  Plus having Cliff Lee doesn't hurt either.  Until somebody beats him i wont believe anyone can.  It's hard to go against the tremendous pitching of the Giants, but top to bottom the Rangers are the better team.  I'll take the Rangers in 6.
