Woman Accused Of Plotting To Assault Ex-Boyfriend

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- Authorities have arrested a woman who they say tried to get a convicted killer to arrange to have someone beat up her ex-boyfriend.

Baltimore County Police arrested Amy Jennifer Fairbrother, 28, of Lutherville on Dec. 3. Authorities from Allegany County charged her with solicitation to commit assault. She was released on personal recognizance.

Investigators say Fairbrother's boyfriend broke off the relationship last year and the woman contacted the inmate at North Branch Correctional Institution in Cumberland. Authorities say corrections officials obtained a letter with details about the alleged plot, and the investigation began.
