Wind Chill Could Make It Feel Like It's 5 Degrees Below Zero
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A wind chill advisory Tuesday morning made it feel like it was -5 degrees.
A northwest wind could gust up to 30 mph, WJZ's First Warning Weather team reports.
Temperatures will rise through the teens by noon.
A threat of hypothermia or frostbite is present for people who are exposed to the cold for longer periods of time, which is why the city's health director declared a code blue.
A chance of a significant winter storm comes our way Friday and may continue on Saturday.
"The potential for moderate to heavy snow does exist, but the exact track, speed, and intensity remains impossible to pinpoint this early," said Bob Turk.
