Why Some People Hate Professional Athletes

Simply put, they have no concept of reality.  Take Florida Marlins All Star SS Hanley Ramirez.  On Tuesday he booted a popup down the left field line.  He then leisurely jogged after it while two runners scored.  His manager, Fredi Gonzalez, benched him for his lack of his hustle.  Now you would think Ramirez would apologize to his teammates and fans for his effort.  If not apologize, then say nothing would've been my adivce.  Well Hanley had a different idea.  Hew decided to attack his manager and his teammates.  Speaking about his teammates Ramirez said, "We got a lot of people dogging it after ground balls.  They don't apologize. "  On his manager's decision he said, "He doesn't understand that.  He never played in the big leagues."  The problem for the Marlins is that Hanley Ramirez is arguably one of the top ten players in all of baseball, and he signed a six tear $70 million deal in 2008.  That money is guaranteed.  I applaud what Fredi Gonzalez did and I'd love to see more managers do the same.  If an Orioles player shows lack of hustle, Dave Trambley, you have my permission to pull him immediately!!
