What a Difference a Year Makes

The Orioles called up OF Corey Patterson from Norfolk yesterday and sent down Nolan Reimold.  Reimold was one of the real positives for the Birds last season hitting .279 with 15hrs before his season ended with an Achilles injury.  This season has been a struggle for Reimold, but to be fair, its been a struggle for almost all the Orioles hitters.  I don't expect Reimold to be in the minors for long.  Especially with Felix Pie hurt, the club needs him.  Corey Patterson is a 30yr old former Oriole who gives the club some much needed speed, but he's not the answer.  I knew that not having Brian Roberts would effect the offense, but not nearly this much.  The Orioles are second to last in the majors in runs per game, and it seems like they are getting shut down every other night.  Night one with Corey Patterson was a 5-2 win.  Lets hope it continues.
