What a debut!!!
I dont think there's ever been a situation where substance lived up to the hype like it did last night in Washington DC. Stephen Strasburg struck out 14 Pirates, including the last seven he faced. Since 1920, only two other pitchers have struck out as many. Karl Spooner--Brooklyn Dodgers 1954, and JR Richard- Houston Astros 1971. Thats the list. Strasburg looked like a man vs boys last night. Say what you will that the Pirates arent any good. They're still a major league baseball team. Lets hope we can hype like this with the Orioles at Camden Yards one day in the near future.
