Week 8 NFL Predictions
So after a slow start to the 2010 NFL season ive had somewhat of a comeback. Two straight 9-5 week has my season total at 61-43. No ravens game this week but that doesn't mean there aren't some great NFL games. So here we go my week 8 predictions.
Dolphins (3-3) vs. Bengals (2-4) --Miami was a bad call away from beating the tough Steelers. Cincinnati has continued to disappoint with yet another loss last weeks to Atlanta. Miami's stat continues winless at home, undefeated on the road. PREDICTION---DOLPHINS
Jaguars (3-4) vs. Cowboys (1-5) -- Just when you thought things couldn't get worse in Dallas, Tony Romo breaks his collarbone. Although Jacksonville has a better record they don't have much to hang their hats on this season either. This seems odd but even after losing Romo I like Dallas here. PREDICTION---COWBOYS
Redskins (4-3) vs. Lions (1-5) --Washington has played a lot better this season, McNabb is a huge reason why. This is another game in which the prediction doesn't make much sense. Washington did lose to an inferior team earlier to St. Louis, the Redskins have a knack for losing these games. PREDICTION---LIONS
Bills (0-6) vs. Chiefs (4-2) --Buffalo played by far their best game of the season last week against Baltimore. Ryan Fitzpatrick looked like Johnny Unitas last week. Kansas City is still on top in the AFC West and can create some space between them and the rest of the division. PREDICTION---CHIEFS
Panthers (1-5) vs. Rams (3-4) --Carolina finally got its first win against a team that only has 1 win of their own. The Panthers have been one of the leagues worst teams it shouldnt change this week. St. Louis has been a pleasant surprise and Sam Bradord might be an early frontrunner for rookie of the year. PREDICTION---RAMS
Packers (4-3) vs. Jets (5-1) --Green Bay is better than their 4-3 record suggests, but injuries have hampered this team all year. New York continues to run their mouth but when your 5-1 I guess you can do that. Coming off the bye I don't see how the Jets can lose. PREDICTION---JETS
Broncos (2-5) vs. 49ers (1-6) --In the "I wouldn't watch this game if you paid me" game the Broncos and Niners travel to London. I don't like the Broncos in this game for the simple fact they gave up 59 points to the Raiders, yup the Raiders. In a side not Troy Smith will start. PREDICTION---49ERS
Titans (5-2) vs. Chargers (2-5) --You would think after all the times San Diego has burned me that I would stay away from picking them. Nope, even with Tennessee's 5-2 record I don't quite believe in them yet. If they win this game it might change my mind. PREDICTION---CHARGERS
Buccaneers (4-2) vs. Cardinals (3-3) --Tampa head coach Raheem Morris made claims that his team is the best in football. Though his claim are unfounded you can't blame a guy for believing in his team. The Cardinals may be the worst 3-3 team in the NFL. PREDICTION---BUCCANEERS
Vikings (2-4) vs. Patriots (5-1) --Minnesota's season is fading fast and the injury to Favre is not helping. While the Patriots are moving on without Moss and it doesn't even look like they have missed a beat. I know its only 6 games but im almost certain Favre is sorry he came back. PREDICTION---PATRIOTS
Seahawks (4-2) vs. Raiders (3-4) --Very quietly the Seahawks are on top of the NFC West, it's probably quiet because of how bad that division is. Oakland is coming off one of the most head scratching games of the season. They scored 59 points in three quarters. They wont score that much again but they should win. PREDICTION---RAIDERS
Steelers (5-1) vs. Saints (4-3) --Pittsburgh is once again one of the best teams in football whether that call was a bad one or not last week. As much as i hate to admit it they might be the most complete team. New Orleans lost to the Browns last week, not much to add to that. Also Halloween in New Orleans has to favor the Saints. PREDICTION---SAINTS
Texans (4-2) vs. Colts (4-2) --Houston is a strange 4-2 team, great offense suspect at best defense. Indianapolis will want to avenge its opening day loss at Houston and probably will. Don't underestimate the loss of Dallas Clark, but as long as they got # 18 they should be just fine. PREDICTION---COLTS
