Week 5 NFL Predictions

So here we are for another round of predicting, and week 4 was exactly like all my other weeks.  Not great but not really bad either, I went 8-6 in Week 4 bring my season total to 36-26.  Again not great but look at the bright side I do have a winning record.  So lets see how good I can fare in Week 5.

Jaguars (2-2) vs. Bills (0-4) --The Jags are coming off a big win over division rival Indianapolis and are in a classic trap game as they travel to Buffalo.  The Bills havent shown much of anything this season but with that being said it should be a close game.  PREDICTION---JAGUARS

Buccaneers (2-1) vs. Bengals (2-2) --The Bucs had the perfect time for their bye week, so they had extra time to lick their wounds after the Pittsburgh thumping.  The Bengals to me are one of the most overrated teams in the NFL, Carson Palmer has been less than impressive.  Still the Bucs are bad.  PREDICTION---BENGALS

Falcons (3-1) vs. Browns (1-3) --Atlanta got out by the skin of their teeth against the Niners, while behind Peyton Hillis had a second straight 100 yard game again in a win over Cincy.  You could argue that if a few plays go differently Atlanta might have a losing record.  Cleveland plays hard but Atlanta is a better team.  PREDICTION---FALCONS

Rams (2-2) vs. Lions (0-4) --St. Louis are a surprising 2-2 after back to back home win over Washington and Seattle.  However the Lions can put up some points, especially when you have Calvin Johnson.  The Lions get win # 1 here.  PREDICTION---LIONS

Chiefs (3-0) vs. Colts (2-2) --I am willing to bet that 99.99% of football fans would not have guessed that the undefeated team coming into this game would be Kansas City.  The Chiefs have had a great and exciting start but I don't think they are ready to take that next step.  PREDICTION---COLTS

Packers (3-1) vs. Redskins (2-2) --The Pack rebounded from their 18 penalty game against Chicago, while McNabb and the Skins were able to be his old team in Philly.  It wont be easy for the Skins to win two in a row, the Packers offense is clicking, thats bad for DC.  PREDICTION---PACKERS

Bears (3-1) vs. Panthers (0-4) --Carolina probably should have beaten the defending champs in New Orleans last week.  Chicago against New York forgot how to block as Chicago QB's were sacked 10 times.  Jay Cutler is not playing which helps Carolina but Chicago's defense is too good for Carolina.  PREDICTION---BEARS

Broncos (2-2) vs. Ravens (3-1) --Baltimore had what some would call a season defining win last week at Pittsburgh, while Denver also won in the last minutes of the game against Tennessee.  If this was the Ravens from 2 years ago I would be worried, this is not the Ravens from 2 years ago.  PREDICTION---RAVENS

Giants (2-2) vs. Texans (3-1) --It's hard to believe that the Giants are 2-2, even in their 2 wins the Giants have looked less than impressive.  Houston bounced back nicely from the loss against in state rival Dallas.  This game has the feeling of getting ugly.  PREDICTION---TEXANS

Saints (3-1) vs. Cardinals (2-2) --New Orleans despite their 3-1 record have not looked the same as they did last year, especially on the offense side of the ball.  Arizona will start Max Hall at quarterback, its ok I don't know him either.  PREDICTION---SAINTS

Chargers (2-2) vs. Raiders (1-3) --Which San Diego team will show up this week, the one that looks to be an unstoppable force or the team that leaves you scratching your head.  Unfortunately with Oakland I think we know what they bring to the table.  PREDICTION---CHARGERS

Titans (2-2) vs. Cowboys (1-2) --If not for a questionable pass inference call against Denver the Titans could be 3-1.  Dallas got a bye week after their sluggish 1-2 start.  It might have come at the best time.  PREDICTION---COWBOYS

Eagles (2-2) vs. 49ers (0-4) --Picking an 0-4 team to win is always tricky but in my opinion the 49ers are better than their 0-4 record suggest.  Any time an east coast team makes that trip to the west its hard, also Kevin Kolb has not done enough for me to believe.  PREDICTION---49ERS

Vikings (1-2) vs. Jets (3-1) --This Monday night matchup got more intriguing with Minnesota's addition of Randy Moss.  However it wont be enough the Vikings need more time with Moss for him to be effective.  It will be close but it will be too much for Minnesota.  PREDICTION---JETS
