Week 11 NFL Predictions
Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. For the first time this year I had a losing week. I went 6-8 in week 10, but even with the sub .500 week im still 87-57 for the season. So its time to get rid of this losing feeling, here are my week 11 picks.
Bears (6-3) vs. Dolphins (5-4) --Miami finally got their first win at home this season beating Tennesee last week, but it was costly. Pennington and Henne are now done for the year which means Tyler Thigpen will start. Chicago put the final nail in the Vikings coffin and are playing well. Not a believer in Chicago, but Thigpen is making his first start since 2008. PREDICTION---BEARS
Bills (1-8) vs. Bengals (2-7) --Does anybody really want to watch this game. Buffalo got its first win after a failed two point attempt by Detroit. Cincinnati continues to struggle and besides Dallas they may be the most disappointing team in the NFL. I don't like either team but Cincy is home so ill go with them. PREDICTION---BENGALS
Lions (2-7) vs. Cowboys (2-7) --It says a lot about the Cowboys if they just played better just because Wade Phillips is gone, and that's exactly what it looked like. Detroit is so much better with Matt Stafford under center, however he can't stay healthy. So if he doesn't play again, the Lions will lose again. PREDICTION---COWBOYS
Ravens (6-3) vs. Panthers (1-8) --The Ravens had a heartbreaking loss to Atlanta last week but the extra rest should heal those wounds. Carolina is another team with a lot of quarterback issues, Tony Pike will likely make his first start. Baltimore's defense is not like it used to be but rookie quarterbacks don't fare well against the Ravens. PREDICTION---RAVENS
Browns (3-6) vs. Jaguars (5-4) --Cleveland has played some of its best football in a long time the last couple weeks. Colt McCoy wont put up the big numbers but he is a winner and that's good enough for me. Jacksonville benefited from maybe the craziest ending to a game in a long time. I might seem crazy but Cleveland is playing better football right now. PREDICTION---BROWNS
Raiders (5-4) vs. Steelers (6-3) --Oakland has had a nice season but I don't think many would put them in the group of best teams in AFC. Pittsburgh for the first time this season was flat-out dominated by New England. Being a Ravens fan I don't like seeing Pittsburgh win but I don't see how they can lose at home to Oakland. PREDICTION---STEELERS
Redskins (4-5) vs. Titans (5-4) --Is there any team in more disarray than the Redskins. Like the McNabb benching wasnt bas enough they gave up 59 points to the Eagles on Monday night. Randy Moss' Tennessee debut was less than stellar, one catch for 26 yards. If Moss can get more involved the Titans might roll in this one. PREDICTION---TITANS
Cardinals (3-6) vs. Chiefs (5-4) --Both teams had their struggles last week, KC lost by 20 to Denver and Arizona got beat by Seattle at home. Arrowhead is one of if not the toughest place to play in the NFL. Home field advantage should be enough fo Kansas City to roll. PREDICTION---CHIEFS
Packers (6-3) vs. Vikings (3-6) --If Minnesota's season is not dead it's at least on life support even in the easier NFC. Green Bay has won 3 in a row since the 3-3 start and seem to be playing better defense. As much as Brett Favre would like to go out with a win against his old team I don't see it happening. PREDICTION---PACKERS
Texans (4-5) vs. Jets (7-2) --You can watch every game in the NFL for the next 10 years and not see a game end the way Houston's did last week. Whatever you want to say about how the Jets are winning, they are winning and thats all that matters. Houston might be able to score some points but don't think thy can stop New York. PREDICTION---JETS
Falcons (7-2) vs. Rams (4-5) --Atlanta staked claim to being the best team in the NFC and maybe the NFL with a comeback win over the Ravens. St. Louis might have this years offensive rookie of the year in Sam Bradford. However the lack of weapons have hurt the Rams that will continue this week. PREDICTION---FALCONS
Buccaneers (6-3) vs. 49ers (3-6) --Troy Smith is 2-0 as the Niners starter and believe or not even at 3-6 San Fran is still alive in the feeble NFC West. Tampa continues to play well and is in the thick of the playoff race. Even with their 6-3 record I don't believe the Bucs are that good. PREDICTION---49ERS
Seahawks (5-4) vs. Saints (6-3) --Seattle seems to be the front-runner for the NFC west crown, which really isn't saying much. New Orleans has rebounded nicely since the Cleveland game and i expect an easy win for the Saints this week. PREDICTION---SAINTS
Colts (6-3) vs. Patriots (7-2) --It is always the game of year candidate and this year should be no different. The key to this game is all the injuries the Colts are battling. New England rolled over Pittsburgh on the road, and with this game at home it should favor New England. PREDICTION---PATRIOTS
Giants (6-3) vs. Eagles (6-3) --Is there a more exciting or more improved player than Mike Vick, in a word no. Vick is not only still a dangerous runner but his passing has gotten way better. New York was run over by the Cowboys last week and this game for them is huge. As long as Vick continues to play like this Philly will be tough to beat. PREDICTION---EAGLES
Broncos (3-6) vs. Chargers (4-5) --Denver knocked KC back down to earth last week in a 20 point beat down. While San Diego seems primed for another last season surge. Any other division and San Diego might be out of it, thankfully for them the play in the west. PREDICTION---CHARGERS
