WEATHER BLOG: Clear & Cold

Hi Everyone,

Here is the deal. Today we remain clear, and cold. Wind chills in the mid-teens. The wind diminishes later and it becomes, under clear skies, honestly cold as we lose that wind chill.

Tomorrow pretty sunny with temps about 10 degrees warmer than today.

Then the fun begins. If you let it.

Look we know there will be a "Winter event" this weekend. No snow amounts for ya yet because the storm, as of this writing, is still 500 miles off the West Coast! But all the models DO agree on timing and an eventual  outcome. The timing will be starting midafternoon on Friday, and ending late afternoon on Saturday. Again no amounts yet, but I think we will see a gradation of mostly heavy rain East, bigger snow amounts West. (Matter of fact this storm will be a Nor'easter and we could see some beach erosion, and coastal flooding in, and around, Ocean City.) So where does this put us?

Well to my way of thinking it puts us in a perfect spot to have a very chilled out weekend. A perfect reason not to do"jack." Binge on TV, read, enjoy sports, eat, and eat more. If you play this right you can give yourself a 3 day weekend. A total guilt free "veg."

Now look I am not naïve. I know this will inconvience some of you. I just had a conversation with a fellow employee who is throwing a big birthday party this Saturday..maybe not. I also understand that some of you have to work..heck we do. But generally speaking this is a perfect timing for a snowfall if you have to deal with a Winter event.

What would Jimmy Buffet do? Ok get in his private jet and get the heck out of Dodge..but without that jet, and the$$ to leave town JB would make the very best of it. Boat drinks all around!! Take a tip from the "tropical troubadour" and enjoy a Winer weekend in Margaretville. I'm gonna!
