WEATHER BLOG: An Active Day

T.G.I.F. There is your headline. Now the rest of the story…(with respect to Paul Harvey).

Looks like after rain in the area Friday morning and midday, we will have an afternoon of clearing skies and a fine sunset.

Our daytime high will be 60 at about 1 p.m., then the breeze will pick up behind a cool front (that is bringing us that rain and maybe a thunderstorm), and temps will gently drop to near 50 by dinner.

A pretty calm weekend is on tap and mild too. Saturday's high is 60, Sunday's 54.

Is winter over? HA!

You may be hearing about some "wintery" weather Tuesday night and into Wednesday. RIGHT NOW there are no real solid answers to the question of a wintery mix, but we do know that on Tuesday/Wednesday daytime highs will be in the mid 30s, with overnight lows in the mid 20s. We also know that moisture will be approaching the Mid Atlantic.

The European model takes problems away from us. The American is not showing a solution yet. What is important to you, RIGHT NOW, is the timing of a possible "event." That would be Wednesday morning and through the day. More solid details over the weekend. Come back and check on Chelsea's blog.

For now, as I have mentioned, enjoy a calm and mild weekend. Mom Nature's timing could not be better. Weekends count!

Have fun, and be safe!
