They did it again

The Washington Capitals were the best team in the NHL this season.  The league's best record.  The best player in Alex Ovechkin.   They looked like a machine...until the playoffs.  The Caps took a 3-1 lead in the series, and then became the first #1 seed to lose a series to a #8 seed after taking that 3-1 lead.  The team that lapped the field in goal scoring this season could not score goals over the last three games against the Montreal Canadiens.  The Capitals are a team that always seems to blow leads in the playoffs and they did it again this season.  So instead of a run to the Stanley Cup, its early tee times for the Washington Capitals.  They frankly didn't deserve to win.  One day this franchise will get over the hump.  They have too much talent.  It will definitely not be this year though.
