BLOG: The Weather Is Not Too Bad
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- There should be some much warmer weather for Easter Sunday and during the first part of next week.
But first, Friday will be cooler than Thursday with temperatures no higher than the 50s. Although the sky is starting off relatively clear because a high pressure system has been the dominant feature on the weather map since late Thursday, clouds associated with a wave of low pressure in the Plains states and a warm front that is associated with it will be advancing eastward as the day wears on.
In fact, it should even start to rain (albeit lightly) by around 5 o'clock in the afternoon. The Yankees are in town for a big weekend series, and while I believe there'll be some rain around at 7:05 p.m. Friday night, they should be able to play through the light, intermittent rainfall. After midnight, the rain will probably come down a little harder, and it will also be more widespread -- then it will tend to taper off by early Saturday. By midday Saturday, a warm front should be located far enough to the NORTH that we'll encounter some sunshine, as well as a breezy and warmer afternoon. Be on the lookout, though for some additional showers and a thunderstorm later Saturday and Saturday night.
Sunday's temperatures will be around 80 degrees, and we feel that only a small fraction of the area will get a shower or thunderstorm. The warmer weather will continue early next week.
Have a great holiday weekend !!!
