The Stripper on Disablity
Here it is: Your idiot criminal of the day. And this time . . . it's a lady. She's 43-year-old Christina Gamble of Quakertown, Pennsylvania (--in the eastern part of the state, about 50 miles north of Philadelphia). Back in November of 2007, Christina was working as a waitress at Red Robin. She slipped and fell during her shift, hurt her back and filed for worker's comp.
One year later, a judge awarded her worker's comp benefits, and she's been collecting ever since. She told the judge that her back injury made it too difficult to stand and change positions, so she couldn't work as a waitress anymore.
Since then, she's collected $22,727 in disability benefits and $4,118 in medical expenses.
Well . . . the state Attorney General's Office hired some private investigators to check Christina out, to make sure her claim was legit . . . which is a standard move in big worker's comp cases.
And those private investigators found that Christina was 100% LYING . . . because, just eight days after she told the judge she couldn't stand, they found her POLE DANCING as a STRIPPER at a local strip club called C.R. Fanny's.
Since it was clear she could "stand and change positions" just fine, they put together a case against her and, last week, she was arrested.
She's been charged with two counts of insurance fraud and one count of theft by deception . . . and is looking at up to 21 YEARS in prison and a $15,000 fine.
