Teen Who Had Father Killed Gets 30 Years In Prison

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WJZ) — 17-year-old Morgan Lane Arnold, who pleaded guilty to having her father killed in 2013 will spend 30 years behind bars.

Back in May 2013, Howard County detectives rushed to 58-year-old businessman and blogger Dennis Lane's home.

Inside they found him murdered and stabbed to death.

Police arrested his daughter Morgan and her then 19-year-old boyfriend Jason Bulmer.

Prosecutors say Arnold — then 14, asked Bulmer to kill her father, and on the night of the crime, she unlocked a basement door so Bulmer could get in.

Bulmer was sentenced to 30 years in prison last year.

After Morgan serves her 30 year sentence, she then has to serve five years of supervised probation.
