Stricken Groom Weds In Maryland Hospital Chapel

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- When you promise to cherish in and sickness and in health, you usually mean later.

But Frostburg residents Barry Dubit and Victoria McTuage tested that pledge from the get-go. They got married Sunday in a hospital chapel after he was rushed to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center on the night of their wedding rehearsal.

The Cumberland Times-News reports that Dubit had recently had surgery. But he was determined not to postpone the wedding.

About 50 family members, friends and hospital staffers attended the ceremony. The dietary department provided drinks and table decorations for the reception.
