Speechless in Baltimore

Nope. Just when I thought the O's were going to pull out a win, Johnson blew the game in the ninth and the O's were handed their NINTH straight loss, this time a deflating walk-off loss to the A's in Oakland. With Gonzalez on the DL, Johnson was asked to get the final three outs of the game and he couldn't get the job done (two COSTLY wild pitches). AGAIN... another Orioles pitcher (Johnson) intentionally walked the bases loaded and it backfired. If memory serves me correct, this is the FOURTH time an intentional walk has not worked in the Orioles' favor. And AGAIN... another Orioles starter (Guthrie) pitches well enough to win and can't earn a "W."

Fact: The Baltimore Orioles are now the only team in baseball with just one win.

Tomorrow the O's will look to Brian Matusz to stop the losing streak... if anyone in that rotation can do it, it's Matusz, who has pitched two solid outings thus far. A four-game sweep by the A's would be absolutely horrible as the team heads to Seattle and then Boston.

And now Miguel Tejada is day-to-day with a strained groin. I don't really know what else to say. Honestly.
