Sometimes losing just isn't enough ...

About 60-65 times a year, I make the stroll from my house in Federal Hill to Camden Yards to watch "free baseball."  After all, I love the game.   I could watch it for hours on end and never get bored.  Hell, I still play the game!  Baseball just never gets old to me.  Watching the Orioles this season has been a different kind of baseball.  It's bad.  It's worse that I could have thought.  And while many of you know me as cynic who always plays devil's advocate, I can try to find a silver lining in everything.  But in the case of the 2010 Orioles, and the franchise in general, there is no need to even try. See what I think the Orioles need to do is KEEP LOSING! 

Lose at an astronomical rate.  Lose so people around the country are talking.  Be the 2008 Detroit Lions!  Be worse than the '62 Mets!!  Do something that will shake the very foundation of the Warehouse and this entire organization!  Because apparently, just losing for 13 years in a row isn't enough!  I won't play the "blame game" because I really don't care whose fault it is.  Furthermore, does it really matter?  It just needs to be fixed!  And much like a guy who treats his girlfriend poorly and she keeps coming back because she believes he will change ... well, as a guy, we never REALLY change until the girl leaves altogether!!!

Losing 121 games this year, may just have that effect ... if you could hope for such a thing!
