So Far, So Good

The Stephen Strasburg experiment is going as planned so far.  Strasburg dominated the hitters he faced at the AA level, so he's been promoted to AAA.  He'll make his debut Friday.  The pitching phenom went 3-1 with a 1.64 ERA with AA Harrisburg.  He had a league high 27 strikeouts.  The righthander, who signed a record four year $15.1 million deal last year, seems on pace to be with the Washington Nationals by the All Star break.  Word is he could be pitching for the big club as soon as June 1st.  Waiting until June allows the Nationals to save some money down the road on Strasburg's contract.  I know it's the other league and not my Orioles,  but count me as one person excited to see this kid pitch.
