Serial Bank Robber Caught In Ocean City Now Identified

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore Police have now identified the man who they say robbed seven Baltimore-area banks.

Police now say that FBI Baltimore Violent Crimes Task Force has identified the suspect as 34-year-old Charles Alexander Coleman, of Pikesville.

Coleman was arrested in Ocean City on November 23.

The string of robberies started October 19th at BB&T Bank in Pikesville. Soon after, the suspect hit banks in Parkville, Harbor East, Fells Point, and Locust Point.

The most recent robbery was on November 19. The man captured on surveillance cameras robbing a Wells Fargo Bank in Linthicum in broad daylight.

"It makes me think like what else is safe, if you can't go into a bank, what's next," a Linthicum bank customer.

"He'll go into the bank, approach the teller, provide a demand note," said FBI Special Agent Steve Skinner, speaking about Coleman's tactics.
