Body Found Believed To Be Missing Va. Firefighter
LURAY, Va. (WJZ) -- A tragic end to the search for a missing Virginia firefighter.
Police believe they have found the body of 31-year-old Nicole Mittendorff.
She was reported missing last Friday when she didn't show up for work.
On Thursday, searchers discovered a woman's body in Shenandoah National Park -- more than a mile from where her car was found over the weekend.
Loved ones say Mittendorff was an avid runner, and she may have been training on a trail at the park.
Police say they found a suicide note in Mittendorff's car. They do not suspect foul play.
