Don't Minimize Reed Loss
No surprise for me that Ed Reed will start the season on the PUP list, which means he will be out at least 6 weeks. When he was saying in June that he had major hip reconstructive surgery, and was only 35%, we had an orthopedic surgeon on the show, that said best case scenario, Reed would be back in November. And even that is optimistic. Despite others trying to brush this under the rug, this is a major blow to the Ravens. I'm not saying it can't be overcome, but you're talking about the greatest playmaking safety ever. Tom Zbikowski has done a nice job. Don't delude yourself into thinking he's Ed Reed.
