Rays, Jays & A Sweep...Oh My!
So far...not so good!
Blown save chances. A lack of clutch hitting. An early spin through the rotation and a 1-5 start to the 2010 season for the Birds. Ouch!
Friday was so awesome at The Yard...Orioles fans in "Welcome home" mode and a beautiful day to soak in some baseball. O's lose. After a long day of lacrosse I made it down to OPACY with a few friends and enjoyed a stellar Saturday night for baseball. O's lose. Today, I made it downtown again and took in a few innings. Millwood was on and a decent Sunday crowd got behind the Birds in boisterous fashion...2-1 O's...3-2 Jays...4-2 Jays...5-2 Jays...ballgame...O's lose.
I understand the task at hand. The rebuilding of an entire organizational foundation and the longing for an identity that is real. One earned through hard work and success. I cant divert my attention from some of the positives...Camden Yards is still a gem...Oriole fans are still passionate and hungry...Matt Wieters...the young arms...MASN really taking flight...Sarasota open for business and about to become a special place for O's Nation to call home in the spring...
...but "O's lose" is the scab getting ripped open over-and-over again. Even one week into a 162 game season I'm bleeding again...
