Ravens Camp Tour: CBS Sports
CBS Sports' Clark Judge on Ravens camp...
It's hard not to have a crush on this year's Baltimore Ravens. Almost everywhere you look there's talent and depth at key positions, and that includes an offense that for years lagged behind one of the league's premier defenses.
But now the Ravens are locked and loaded in all the right places -- including wide receiver, a position not typically counted among the team's strengths. Their offensive line returns intact. They have a collection of dependable tight ends and running backs, and they're suddenly strong at quarterback where veteran Marc Bulger backs up quarterback Joe Flacco.
Only one problem: There is less talent and depth today than there was two weeks ago because of an injury epidemic touching key defensive players like the team's first draft pick, Sergio Kindle, and starting cornerback Domonique Foxworth.
....In the meantime, I'm still penciling in the Ravens as a preseason choice to unseat Cincinnati in the AFC North and establish themselves as one of the AFC heavyweights. Why? They should be better on offense than they've been in years. They have the capacity to throw the ball effectively. Flacco is in his third year as a pro and ready for takeoff. Their front seven is deep, menacing and damn good. And there's more talent at most every position than at any time in Harbaugh's tenure, one that includes two playoff appearances and a 3-2 post-season record.
