Ravens are primed for Primetime action

Boy did the Ravens' bye week come at a perfect time. After having a full week off (five days off practice for the players) the Ravens had less than a week and a half to prepare for two games -- two tough games -- and have spent the first half of this week "mentally" preparing in their indoor facility for the Falcons this Thursday night. Coming off two consecutive wins against the Bills and the Dolphins, respectively, Baltimore will seek their third straight win after a VERY short week of work, a Thursday after a Sunday, a schedule the team has faced only one other time in franchise history.

"Obviously it's going to be Thursday night," Harbaugh said. "The crowd is going ot be fired up. It's just the kind of environment we like."

It's the best in the AFC vs the best in the NFC in Thursday Night Football action but most of the spotlight will be on quarterbacks Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan who both came out of the 2008 NLF draft... Ryan was chosen third by the Falcons and Flacco 18th by the Ravens.

When Flacco was asked this week if he enjoys being compared to Ryan, Flacco responded, "I really don't care. It doesn't bother me either way."

Harbaugh, however, had a little more to say about the two young QBs.

"I think they're very good quarterbacks. They both have all the skills to lead their teams to great heights. Obviously they're two of the younger quarterbacks in the league. It'll be interesting to see how they both develop over the next couple of years. But we have a lot of respect for Matt."

The Falcons, also 6-2 in the NFC North, will have a healthy Roddy White back in action while the Ravens will once again be without safety Tom Zbikowski who is suffering from a heel injury.
