--How bad these birds? So sad they are being compared to the 1988 version that started 0-21 and went on to lose an Orioles record 107 games. They did that with HOF'ers Ripken and Murray and managers Ripken Sr. and Frank Robinson. 

I'd ask Bill Ripken to compare but I'm not sure he'd remember, the night the Orioles snapped their 0-21 in '88 Bill took a fastball to the head and was carried out of old Comiskey Park in Chicago on a stretcher. The worst start in ML history had ended but Bill didn't know it for awhile.

--If Kobe drops 40 on the Celtics in game 6 and the Lakers lose should he be named series MVP? I'd vote for him, he was the only Laker who showed up in game 5 . I'm surprised the game was as close as it was. 5 good Celtics will beat 1 great Laker every time. And please Ron Artest play D and rebound leave the shooting to the shooters.

--The last time the US Open was at Pebble Beach Tiger lapped the field by 15 strokes. I don't think he wins this time but he's still the favorite. 4 Open's at Pebble Beach and 4 great champions! Nicklaus, Watson, Kite and Tiger.
