Post-Conviction Relief Denied To Md. Baby Killer
Hagerstown, Md. (AP) -- A judge in Hagerstown is denying post-conviction relief to a man serving 30 years for shaking his girlfriend's infant son to death in 2007.
Floyd Bingaman had claimed errors by his defense lawyer and prosecutors in seeking a modified sentence, release from prison or a new trial.
Washington County Circuit Judge Donald Beachley denied those claims in a decision filed Wednesday.
A jury convicted Bingaman of involuntary manslaughter and first-degree child abuse in the death of 4-month-old Justice Myers-Cannon.
