Possible Water Spout Sighted In Oxford, Md.
OXFORD, Md. (AP) -- Oxford's police chief says a possible waterspout has been sighted around Island Creek.
Patrick Maxwell tells the Star Democrat of Easton that the possible waterspout was seen shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday near a tree line before it dissipated.
Maxwell reported strong gusts of wind and heavy downpours.
Public works officials were clearing a fallen tree limb at Morris and Tilghman streets.
