BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A 20-year-old Pasadena woman will be charged with attempted murder after police say she stabbed her grandmother numerous times, in an attempt to "cut the demons out of her."
Savannah Esperson Weaver has been hospitalized following an alleged attack on the 82-year-old.
Anne Arundel County police officers responded to the scene, a home in the 500 block of 2nd Street in Pasadena, around 7:25 a.m. Sunday.
Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim by ambulance to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. She has since been released.
Weaver, who was taken into custody without incident, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. She will be charged with attempted murder and other related assault charges upon her release.
