Police Investigate Firearms Case In Sharpsburg
SHARPSBURG, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say they have discontinued efforts to contact a Washington County man at his home in an ongoing firearms investigation.
Police said Thursday they removed firearms from the home on Mills Road in Sharpsburg. Police say they initially thought the man was home when troopers arrived Thursday afternoon to serve a search warrant.
They say no contact was made with the man throughout the day, and troopers saw no evidence that he was in the home while they were there.
Police say they will be inventorying the firearms as part of the ongoing investigation.
