Police: Cyclist, 25, Killed In West Baltimore Crash

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- A deadly crash in West Baltimore involving a minivan and a cyclist is under investigation.

Officers were called to the scene, located near where North Gilmore Street and Edmondson Avenue meet, just after 1:30 p.m. where they found a cyclist injured and two vehicles damaged, according to police.

The cyclist was heading south on North Gilmore about 1:30 p.m. when police say he maneuvered around a parked car. He was then struck by a 2001 Honda Odyssey heading west on Edmondson.

Paramedics pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene. Police said the cyclist is a 25-year-old man. They're withholding his name until his next of kin is notified.

The Honda's driver, who was not hurt, is cooperating with police.
