Owner Faces Fines After 2 Dogs Attack 7-Year-Old Girl

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)—No criminal charges, but a Baltimore County woman whose dog bit a young girl is still in trouble.

Amanda Mitchell, 7, is recovering at the hospital after being bitten by two American bull dogs over the weekend.

Baltimore County Animal Control is charging the dogs' owner, Tina Baker, with several code violations, including having a menacing and dangerous animal and failure to have a required license.

Baltimore County Police say Baker has to pay the more than $3,000 in fines or appeal.

A hearing will be held before the Animal Hearing Board within 25 days on the "Dangerous Animal" charges, along with any appealed violations.
