O's pull out a victory

It was a great all-around win for the Orioles Wednesday night who beat the Seattle Mariners, 5-2 by... doing everything right. The O's hit, they pitched well (Bergesen) and they played solid defense.

Bergesen was tremendous, once again. Dave Trembley said this was the best he's seen all season and Brad said this was the best he's felt all year. What a difference a trip to the minors can do for a struggling kid.  Bergesen pitched 7.2 innings and allowed five hits, one run and two walks while striking out three.

The key play of the game was the double play from Tejada in the fourth with the bases loaded - the defense played great behind Bergesen and it was an all-around efford by everyone as the O's may now have something to build off of as they close out the series tomorrow afternoon.

The O's will then open up a three-game series against the Indians on Friday followed by a two-game series again at home against the Royals. These teams are all beatable... if the O's are going to hit a hot streak, now is the perfect time.
