Orioles Pitcher Yovani Gallardo Joins Hot Stove show
Orioles pitcher Yovani Gallardo joined the Orioles Hot Stove show to discuss the free agent process and how he's adjusting to life as a Oriole.
Jim Hunter started the interview by asking why Gallardo didn't except the qualifying offer he received from the Rangers. "I wanted something more long term," said Gallardo. "As an athlete that's what we all want."
The 30-year-old right hander was then asked what about the Orioles that made signing with the club a good fit for him. "Just from watching them play, they're intense," said Gallardo. "You want to be apart of a team that wants to go out and win."
