Orioles Pitcher Chris Lee Joins Sports Rehab

Orioles minor league pitcher Chris Lee joined Bob Haynie on Sports Rehab to discuss his trade from Houston to Baltimore and what his goals are for the 2016 season.

Chris Lee came to the Baltimore Orioles last May in a deal with the Houston Astros that didn't garner much attention. The Orioles are hoping the tall, lanky lefty turns into a big part of the team for many years to come. Lee is just 22 years old and spent most of the 2015 season between Single A and Double A ball. He finished with a 10-10 record with a 3.29 ERA.

Command was an issue for Lee early in his career but those issues seem to be a thing of the past. While he does have a 4.2 per nine inning walk rate, his delivery is solid and repeatable. In 114 1/3 innings last summer with the Orioles, he walked 49 and struck out 74. When asked what his goals are heading into 2016 and beyond, Lee replied "My goal is to come in healthy and prove that I belong here. The ultimate goal is to get to Baltimore."
