Orioles Need Lee Jung-Su In Division
Orioles fans look at the AL East in horror. How can the O's possibly escape to the playoffs with the Yankees, Red Sox and Rays in the way? I give you one name: Lee Jung-Su.
Yeah, I know. Like the President, Lee Jung-Su did not play baseball growing up. He cannot name his favorite White Sox player. However, Lee Jung-Su may be exactly what the Orioles need to make the playoffs.
Lee Jung-Su is a South Korean speed skater. On Feb. 13 at the Olympics in Vancouver The South Koreans were setting up to sweep the podium in the Men's Short Track speed skating event. Until Lee aggressively 'traded paint' with teammate Sung Si-Bak.
The two skaters disastrously crashed to the ice, slid to the wall, out of competition and off the podium. Out of the wreckage skates Apolo Ohno for his 6th medal - a silver. Some guy that was lined up in 5th takes the bronze.
Imagine the improved 2010 Orioles squad which could compete in any other division in baseball. Now think of the AL East. The darlings in Boston, New York and Tampa are poised to sweep the podium. Baltimore may need a South Korean speed skater to infiltrate.
