On The Ravens Case:Broncos- Ravens keys to game

Here is a look at some of the keys to the game and some numbers to look at going into the game today:

1- Broncos passing attack and Ravens passing defense both come in ranked number one in the NFL. Although it is four games into the season, I do not think most people would have picked these two teams to be in those positions. Today we will probably get a better feel for which one of those rankings are more accurate.

0- That is the number of wins that the Broncos have in Baltimore. Denver has come into Charm City three times to face the Ravens, and all three times they have left on the losing end of the game, including last years 30-7 loss.

5- Not only is five the number of quarterback Joe Flacco, who I think could have a big day today,but it is also the number of wins Coach Harbaugh and Flacco have when facing AFC West teams. I think that number grows by one today.

7- -7 is the Ravens current turnover ration. The defense forced a turnover late in Sunday's win against the Steelers to seal the victory. This defense has prided itself on forcing turnovers and turning them into points. Today against Kyle Orton I think the Ravens will get a couple to add to the interception column.

Things to watch for vs Broncos

-Kyle Orton has not taken many big shots down the field in the passing game.The Ravens have done a good job of not allowing teams to take big shots against them. They will have to make sure that they do not allow him to make those couple of big throws stretching the field like he will try to, because then the passing game for the Broncos will open up even more.

-Denver's wide receivers have had a solid year, however there is a felling that there have been a lot of missed tackles also against those receivers. The Broncos will throw a bunch of slant patterns and try to make a defender miss or give them a chance to break and arm tackle. Defensively the Ravens have to make sure that when the pass is completed, they get the guy to the ground and do not allow him to pick up a more yards.

-The Ravens offense would benefit from a couple of long sustained drives today. When this happens,it forces the Broncos offense to sit on the bench and limit their chances of keeping them in the football game.  Flacco and company also will look for a matchup that they can take advantage of today, much like Peyton Manning and the Colts did when they played the Broncos.

-Kyle Orton will not be looking to get out of the pocket and take off running today against the Ravens because he is not a very mobile quarterback. The Ravens defense will need to force him out of the pocket to make him uncomfortable and force him to make some decisions on the move. If you allow Orton to sit in the pocket, he will pick your defense apart and find a matchup to take advantage of.

- The Ravens might have a trick up their sleeve if they get in a good situation to use it today on special teams.
