On The Ravens Case: from the Castle
This afternoon the Ravens returned to the practice field with a couple of players missing during the media viewing portion. Fabian Washington and Jalen Parmele were not at practice and there was no injury news on those players. Will have to see if there is anything new when injury report comes out this afternoon.
-Lardarius Webb,Tom Zbikowski, and Chris Carr were back fielding punts during practice. I do not see the Ravens using Webb in that role at this time.
- Several players are breaking in their pink cleats that they will wear Sunday vs the Broncos. Matt Birk, Joe Flacco, Anquan Boldin, and Todd Heap are a few of the player sporting some shiny pink shoes.
-During his media session today, Cam Cameron said he felt like the defense should have gotten the game ball following the win against the Steelers. Cameron said it was the defense that allowed the offense to go out there and "do our job."
- Special teams coach Jerry Rosburg said that the Broncos have two dangerous return guys in Eddie Royal and Demaryius Thomas, that they will have to contend with.
- Gregg Mattison said he is not concerned with the lack of number of sacks or interceptions that his defense has gotten this season.
- When Terrell Suggs was asked about having more opportunities to get after a quarterback like Kyle Orton that drops back as much as he does, he pointed out that he is more than a pass rusher, and that he just "likes to tackle people."
- Ravens safety Haruki Nakamura is scheduled to join the Scott Garceau show around 5:20 this afternoon.
