Nebraska, you've got mail!

Everyone loves getting mail.  Everyone loves getting invitations in the mail!  Nebraska just got the invitation to a party like no other ...

It's called the Big-10 party and NOT everyone is invited!  And while the move isn't official yet, it looks like this will be the first domino to fall changing the landscape of college sports and in particular, college football.  The rumors are already flying ... Baylor and Colorado to the Pac-10 ... Missouri may be next ... Boise State should be going somewhere.  And in the end some sort of "super-conference" will be formed four times over and an eventual succession from the NCAA as we know it.  If college sports were to emulate the "Civil War", the Big-1o's invitation to Nebraska was the "shot heard round the world" at Fort Sumter.

Monetary figures will be astronomical.  Sponsors will be infinite.  TV network executives will be drooling.  And when it's all said and done what will be left are the kids playing a man's game trying to find their next big paycheck. It took America nearly 50 years to recover from the Civil War that tore this country apart, I doubt that college football and college sports will need the same sort of reconstruction.
