National Weather Service: Enhanced Fire Threat Friday
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The National Weather Service warns there's an enhanced fire danger Friday.
A combination of dry air, very low humidity and gusty winds could lead to an enhanced fire threat.
Humidity will drop between 15 and 20 percent and sustained winds will be between 10 to 15 mph with gusts of 30 mph.
Residents are urged to exercise caution if handling ignition sources, including machinery, cigarettes and matches.
Open burning is prohibited in Maryland and Virginia before 4 p.m.
