'My Little Pony' Convention Heading To Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Teenage and young adult fans of "My Little Pony" will be descending on Baltimore next year.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the bi-annual BronyCon at the Baltimore Convention Center from Aug. 2-4.

The convention is held by and for fans of the cartoon TV series "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic."

While the show and associated merchandise are targeted at young girls, "My Little Pony" has attracted some older fans, many of them male, who call themselves "Bronies."

The first BronyCon was held in New York in June 2011. Dressing in costume is encouraged.
